BEAST is developed and tested mainly under Linux, and this is good, because that way you can use and develop free software on a free platform.

However, some users have been asking for a WindowsPort, and in fact, while Windows is unlikely to ever become the primary plaform for BEAST development, there is some progress in creating a BEAST Windows version using Cygwin.
